![]() ![]() Day 1, I only had my room key - "no good sir we need in addition to see photo id if you want to sign this to your room" Day 2, "sorry sir juice bar not yet open" so I go to Starbucks with room key and photo id - "sorry sir cash or card only" I was also surprised to see an individual a/c unit in the room - not the nosiest I have had, but not too quiet either. Every day coming back from the fitness center I tried to get a coffee or a smoothie. After requesting a high room (and my booking voucher said I had been upgraded to a "premium view room" I got a 5th floor room with "Las Vegas boulevard views" I asked if that was a "stip view" and that was confirmed - well, check out the photo - I can see as far north up the strip as the back of the Trop, and my LVB view is the monorail and bits of the Airport - and I even tipped the clerk because I thought he had given me a good room!! Next shock is the pool area - nice enough but large sections of it are roped off (including an entire pool and many sunbeds) unless you want to pay an extra $10 access fee - hang on, isn't that what the ridiculous resort fee is supposed to be for? Apparently not. ![]() To be fair there were no queues, but this was Monday afternoon. Then the usual "Vegas two step" dance to check in. A 3 night stay in Aug - the first shock was US$13 to have the car valet parked PER DAY (and on the ticket it cheerfully reminds you that "gratuities are not included" - if you want to self park thats US$8 per day). ![]()
